Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Guardians,

To the new students and families of our school community, I want to share my sincere welcome. To all returning students and families, welcome back. Since I arrived at Robert Baldwin January 2016, I have learned that this community is strong and parents expect great things from the staff. The teachers want their school to be a place where everyone feels included and where students feel proud of their accomplishments. Together, we have all the ingredients necessary to make Robert Baldwin a great school.

My philosophy is simple.  If we all do our jobs to the best of our ability, then our students will succeed.  Students must do their best to meet the expectations outlined in the curriculum as well as expectations of our society.  This means greeting every day with a desire to work hard, be nice and do something that helps make their school a better place.  This message is repeated regularly during our morning announcements.  As a staff, it is our job to understand our students and do our best to help them succeed.  If one strategy does not work, then we must try another.  We must also embrace the wisdom and knowledge that parents bring to the table so we can work together to support your children.

I have been an educator for over 30 years.  My drive to see students succeed is stronger now than when I first entered the profession.  The overall well-being of students (academic, social, emotional) must always be at the forefront of everything we do.  As your child's Principal, I am committed to working with you to help our students achieve their best.  Please feel free to call or visit any time.  My door is always open.  For information about how to contact me, please see the contact information on the web page.  Click on Contact Us at the top of the page.

Mr. Robert Hamilton
